THE CHRISTIAN WORK ETHIC NEWSLETTER
December 2005
As we approach the end of another year, I am reminded of the many many blessings which Almighty God has given to me in this short life and especially within the last few years. With his help, we are confidently building Worker Ministries into an organization which is reaching out through many different avenues to promote the Christian work ethic WORLD WIDE!
The following news release should be of special interest to the followers of this ministry:
NEW YORK - Worker Ministries, a North Carolina organization dedicated to promoting the Christian work ethic, will extend its operating base into New York City beginning within the next three years. Jim Hogsett, President and Founder states that preparation for this expansion of his ministry has already begun.
Hogsett made the following statement on November 12: "Although I plan to maintain my residence in North Carolina, I will also eventually reside in Manhattan a significant portion of each year. I plan to work through local churches in the city and will go underground into what many would call forbidden territory. Many residents of this city live in pasteboard boxes in the subway or under bridges. Those who have visited the city are well aware that many of these souls sleep on the street and in the parks. When I visit with them, I will have a simple but absolutely critical message: 'God made you, He loves you, He sent His son to save you, and He has a plan for your life and wants you to be the best you can be!'
Unfortunately, these wonderful people have never found their mission in life and the consequence is a mere existence. I hope and pray that our ministry can have a positive impact in these lives. Every human being should be a worker who need not be ashamed! If we bring ONE person into a productive life for the Kingdom of God, all our work will be well worth the investment! New York, here we come!"
Hogsett also stated that this aspect of Worker Ministries will be referred to as OPERATION UPLIFT. Future updates about this work will be included in his monthly newsletter which can be read on the ministry's web site at www.workerministries.com

HAVE A BLESSED AND MERRY C H R I S T MAS!
Christmas is just around the corner and the busy holiday season is already in full swing. PLEASE! Let us not become so busy and so captive to the secular world that we would forget the ONLY reason for the season: JESUS CHRIST!
Can you imagine a world without a Savior? Can you imagine a world from which you would automatically be condemned to live in Hell the rest of eternity?
Yet, we are hearing again this year from those who want to take CHRIST out of CHRISTmas. It has become ridiculous and an insult to my intelligence when I hear that a CHRISTmas tree should be called a holiday tree and we're suppose to say Happy Holidays instead of Merry CHRISTmas! Try as they may, CHRIST will never be removed from CHRISTmas by anyone! It is IMPOSSIBLE thank God!
Jesus is truly our personal gift to those who have accepted him because he has come so that we might have life and have it more abundantly both in this world and in the one to come called Heaven! With that one thought in mind, we at Worker Ministries take pleasure in wishing you and your loved ones a very very Merry CHRISTmas!
Very truly yours,
Jim Hogsett, President/Founder; Worker Ministries and Writer for Guideposts Magazine
