PRESS  RELEASE           WORKER MINISTRIES        OCTOBER 28. 2011

WORKER  MINISTRIES CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY
WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY ENHANCEMENTS

When Jim Hogsett founded Worker Ministries, he had a vision that his newly formed organization could reach out and help thousands of workers.  As the ministry celebrates its Tenth Anniversary this year, that vision has become a reality.

Hogsett is often in the spotlight as he speaks from the pulpit and in Christian education conferences.  In addition, his book, A Worker Need Not Be Ashamed,  has become a popular source of guidance in helping workers determine their true calling and how to live the Christian life in the workplace.
However, much of the success of this ministry has been a result of the wise use of technology.  Rick Martin serves as Technical Director for Worker Ministries and is a close advisor to the founder and President.  As the ministry prepares for another decade of service, Martin has recently installed a new state-of-the-art computer system at the ministry’s world headquarters at Elon.  He has also designed a new web site which is now on line replacing the original one.

Jim Hogsett says, “I have visited thousands of web sites and, without any reservations, I can tell you that the superior design of our site is second to none.  It is easy to navigate and enables us to provide a wealth of interesting, helpful information and tools for any worker regardless of the job or the problems encountered on the job.”

Kathy Perkinson, the ministry’s Vice President, states the ministry will soon explore the possibility of establishing it own internet radio station.   She says, “WMNS can be another major communication medium which we may use to further promote the Christian work ethic throughout the world.”  If the station becomes a reality, workers can immediately access the ministry’s radio center and be only one click away from hearing and participating in our broadcast.”

Perkinson further states, "Those who are familiar with the background of Jim Hogsett know that his first day on the job was at the age of twelve when he became the youngest broadcaster in the United States. With this additional medium, he will have come full circle and he looks forward to returning to the microphone in this new dimension of our ministry."
